Display Unit Overview

Display Unit Positioning:
The display can be worn as a watch or as a clip on.  Insert the display into either the watch band or the clip-on by rotating clockwise. The display can be removed by rotating the display counter clockwise.

Synchronization Of Display With SenseWear Armband:
When the display unit is used for the first time, you will need to synchronize the unit with the SenseWear Armband.  Follow the instructions presented on the display unit. The first message out-of-box is "HOLD MODE AND VIEW TO START."  The display will state "HELLO" and ask you to "PRESS ARMBAND BUTTON TO SYNC."  The armband button is the Timestamp button.  The armband must be on your body and turned on, already being worn and recording data.  Next hold the Timestamp button down for 5 seconds or until you feel the armband vibrate. Next press the mode button on display unit and you will see the unit sync to the armband.

Reading The Display Unit:
Mode: Calories - Steps - Activity - Time
View: Today - Yesterday - Target - Trip
Trip: Resets Trip Counters
Light: Turns On Display Illumination

The easiest way to understand the display unit is to experiment with it.  Press Mode, look at indicator, it will move from Calories to Steps to Activity and then to Time.

When you change View from Today to Yesterday, you then can review through Mode, Calories, Steps, and Activity for yesterdays readings.  Note that when viewing Activity you will see the display unit change from Moderate Activity to Vigorous Activity, time duration based.

You can review your personal Targets which are the goals that are set in the Weight Management System (WMS). The display unit will present a message to the user when a Target is met.

The Trip counter allows the user to look at a specific time interval concerning Calories, Steps, and Activity. You may reset the counter and learn what a specific activity provides concerning your energy expenditure.  Hold the Trip button down to reset values back to zero. Resetting the Trip counter does not impact the data associated with Today and Yesterday.

Turning the Display Beep "ON" and "OFF":
The display messages to the individual by presenting information and will also beep when new information is displayed, like reaching a daily goal/target.  You can turn the beep on or off by holding down the light button for more than 10 seconds.  A message will come across the display "Beep On" or "Beep Off".

Battery Replacement:
The battery life is approximately two years.  If replacement is required, unscrew the back cover plate and replace battery.  The battery can be obtained at a local retail store.

Miscellaneous Information:
When wearing the Display Unit for the first time or after a long interval, the unit does display some values that may be incorrect.  This occurs based on stored data within the display.  As you wear the SenseWear Unit with the Display in synchronization the values will be updated and represent the collection of energy expenditure.

The Display can be "Hard Reset" by pressing all four mode buttons at the same time.  The Display Unit will display the LCD grid and the the current version of firmware.
